Because your dog deserves a holiday too!
Trendy Dogs Hotel and Pet Services is a bespoke, one stop home for all your dog caring needs.
If you're away for a night or 3, why not let your beloved join our family.
Your dog will join in with all our daily activities including lots of walks, playing with other like minded dogs, lots of cuddles, treats (we spoil..) and at the end of the day a warm and cosy bed to sleep in.
You may now be returning to 'the office' leaving your pet home alone!
Why not let us look after them for the day. With a collection / drop off service available, your dog could spend the day with us and our family. With lots of walks and fun playing, you can return home to a happy dog.
Life can be very busy and the time to provide that essential dog walk can be limited!
We provide a simple dog walking service where we can pick up your dog from home, take them for a fun walk (with doggy friends) and return them to you exercised and content.
That happy medium where all you really need is someone to check up on your beloved fury friend.
Now that we are 'back in the office' we can provide a Pop-In service to let your dog out for a 'toilet break', give hem a little daytime company and simply ensure that your pet is ok.
Why should you miss out on having your baby join you at your special event? Let us take them.
Whether a wedding day or other event where it's just 'too much' for your dog to be there with you for the whole day. We can bring them along for you for a short time; perhaps for the photos.
When you're having your well deserved break, why not let your dog have a holiday too.
With this longer stay 'holiday' option we will treat your pet to a holiday of their own. Trips to the beach; days in the New Forest; or simply relaxing on the day bed. A break they will dream about.
Hi. My name is Laura and I am a life long dog lover.
After 35 years working in a professional business environment, in 2020 I took voluntary redundancy. For many years I have wanted to set up a dog caring company that aims to provide a bespoke service; above and beyond the normal, that provides dog owners a home from home for their fur babies. Now is the time to launch Trendy Dogs...!!!
I am married to Ian and have 2 grown up children now in university. I have previously been lucky enough to have owned a number of dogs; from a Jack Russell to a Chocolate Lab; an Italian Lurcher to a Ridgeback cross. They all lived long and happy lives; although we miss them all dearly.
I am now the proud fur mummy of Jackson (a young and vibrant Hungarian Vizsla) and he adores the company of other dogs.
I'd love nothing more than for your fur baby to join me and my fur baby on our daily adventures.......
Laura is fully qualified to care for your precious family member; has been awarded the maximum 4 star (for a new business) from the Test Valley Borough Council for Day Care and Boarding; and is fully insured just in case.
Looking after dogs is a life choice and Laura has a number of close friends who share this passion and frequently accompany her on the numerous walks, trips out and often just playing with them in the garden.
Jenny has been one of Laura’s ‘besties’ for 30+ years and took redundancy at the same time as Laura did. She and her beautiful little Poppy will often accompany Laura on the morning walks and spends the odd day or 2 with her in the garden office just looking after and loving the dogs.
Ian and Laura have been married since 1995 and they have 2 grown up children. He has witnessed Laura’s passion for dogs grow and grow over the years and is fully behind her new adventure; driving the campervan down to the beach; playing the doggy clown; and simply just being around to help out (and maybe enjoying the dog cuddles just as much…..)
Caroline took voluntary redundancy at the same time as Laura and Jenny and has a similar love of animals. She has 2 dogs of her own (1 is blind), a horse (called Steve......) and is currently fostering 3 kittens for the Cats Watch rescue that were only 3 weeks old when rescued.
Caroline has previously boarded dogs for a number of years and is keen to help out wherever possible with pack walks and boarding.
Living in Amesbury Caroline has been able to show us some amazing walks around Salisbury Plain and the River Avon.
Lexi has recently finished university achieving a BA Honours in Performing Arts. She is now spending some time at home before embarking on the next exiting stage of her life.
A huge dog lover herself she has decided to join the new family business and help out with the daily care of our Trendy Dog guests; including joining her dad on the 'dreaded' Canicross runs......
More than just a 'volunteer', she has thrown herself in to the Trendy Dogs world and has fast become a fovourite with our furry friends.
Christine lived with Ian and Laura for 15 years before settling in her own flat in Andover. She has watched Laura's love of animals grow and often spends time in the house with the puppies.
Whenever Laura needs an extra pair of hands to look after a doggy guest for a night or 2, Christine is happy to help.
We at Trendy Dogs are very proud to be able to say that we have helped develop the caring personalities and minds of a number of young work experience volunteers. These young people have given up their time and energies to ensure that our furry friends are best looked after while they also learn about the animal care industry.
2 of our long term placements (who each spent 1 day a week with us for a college calender year) have now progressed on to University; and we look forward to welcoming out first year 10 work experience volunteer. I just hope he knows what he's getting himself into....!!!
Trendy Dogs Hotel and Pet Services is based from a private home on a very quiet street. The house has a very large fully enclosed dog friendly garden and protective gates (to prevent any 'escape' mishaps).
Dependant upon your chosen care package the days activities include long walks (each averaging approx 3 - 4 miles) through local forest areas; Salisbury Plain; the odd River walk; potential visits to the New Forest and even trips in the campervan down to the seaside for a paddle in the waves.
For your and our reassurance, we will use a tracker connected to your dogs collar when out walking, at least until we are used to each others walking habits.
When at home Laura has an outdoor garden office where she can provide maximum interaction with your dog whilst they make the most of the outdoor space; playing in the 'ball pit', chasing balls, or simply relaxing in the sun on the day bed.
If the weather is more 'British' then they will all retreat into the house where they have their very own sitting room, with comfy sofas, numerous dog beds and in the evening an open log fire for your fur baby to lie down in front of before bed.
When bed time comes; it's your choice. Wherever they sleep at home; that's where they'll sleep in our home. And that includes our bed (even if they push Ian out as Jackson does...)
