Due to the constantly changing nature of dog care bookings and requirements, it isn’t practical for us to publish a fixed availability calendar by date.

Instead, we recommend contacting Laura as soon as you have an idea of your potential boarding needs. She will be able to provide the most up-to-date availability for your required period. Even if your travel plans are not yet fully confirmed, we are happy to provisionally reserve dates until your booking is finalised.

Rather than publishing availability dates — which can change daily — we feel it is more helpful to publish our planned non-availability dates so you can clearly see when we will be away.

Now that we are both self-employed — Laura with Trendy Dogs Hotel and Ian with Trendy Dogs Grasslands — finding downtime together can be challenging. To ensure we maintain a healthy work-life balance and get some valuable rest during the year, we have decided to block out several periods annually when both Trendy Dogs Hotel and Trendy Dogs Grasslands (including daycare and walks) will be CLOSED.

However, when it comes to boarding, please don’t let these CLOSED dates discourage you from enquiring. If your requested dates only slightly overlap with our closure periods, we will always try to be flexible where possible. We may adjust our closed periods or ask trusted Trendy Dogs helpers — including Lexi, Jed, Christine, or our reliable dog sitters — to assist with cover for a day or two. In periods of particularly high boarding demand, we may also decide to reopen during planned closures.

The dates we have selected for closure are based on historically quieter periods and are chosen specifically to avoid school holidays, bank holidays, and other traditionally busy times wherever possible.
