Ian has been married to Laura since 1995 and is the father of Alexia and Jed.

He is a retired Army Officer having served as both a soldier and an Officer from 1990 until 2017. He served all over the world including deploying on multiple operational tours leading to a life often spent apart from the family; including missing Jeds birth whilst deployed on Ops. In 2017 Ian left the Army so that he and his family could finally settle in one location and be together.

After spending another 7 years working as a Defence Contractor he finally realised that the life that Laura had created with Trendy Dogs Hotel was one that he could enjoy and be a part of and so started Trendy Dogs Grasslands, the partner company to Trendy Dogs Hotel. 

Often the 'alpha male' of the doggy pack, he is also happy to be the doggy clown,  the dog hugger on the sofa, and perhaps most important to the dogs, the owner of the bacon sandwich..... GET OFF... ITS MINE!
